Story 76

Age: 42

Teaching Experience: 2-4 years

Contract Type: Casual Supply (through calls, emails, teacherbooker etc)

I interviewed for my own teaching position and didn’t get it.

Apparently I lacked experience. Feedback from interview panel, (which included my own head teacher), was that I did not use enough jargon and did not have enough experience.

I have been in my current position for nearly a year so not sure how that works! I am now going to be back on supply. With 3 children and a mortgage to pay, this was not what I expected when entering the profession.
